Tamara Sneed was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. She began writing her own stories when she was in elementary school, and she began reading romance novels in junior high school, courtesy of an older cousin who had a collection of romance novels that would have made a librarian weak with envy. After graduating from Stanford University, Tamara switched coasts to attend law school at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Tamara wrote throughout college and law school, and in September 2000, her persistence paid off, with BET Books’ publication of her first novel, Love Undercover. Since then, Tamara has published seven books and won the 2003 EMMA for Favorite Romantic Comedy for When I Fall in Love. (To learn more about each of Tamara's books, please visit the Books page.)

Tamara currently practices law in Southern California and lives close to the mountains with her stubborn, yet impossibly cute and sweet, beagle named Jack. Tamara has been a life-long romance reader and writer, and enjoys stories where brave heroes and heroines laugh their way through life and love.
